What happens when learning meets a little friendly competition? You get an exciting Spelling Bee!

As part of our Summer School experience, we hosted our Spelling Bee Event in partnership with the Familycentric Festival organised by the Unilorin Alumni Lagos Chapter, giving our learners the opportunity to step forward, challenge themselves and put their spelling and vocabulary skills to the test.

The event was more than just getting words right. It was about confidence, concentration, preparation and the courage to stand before others and give it a try. For every learner who took part, each word presented a new challenge and another opportunity to learn.

There were moments of excitement, anticipation and, of course, healthy competition. It was wonderful to see our learners stay focused as they listened carefully, thought through their answers and gave their best.

A Spelling Bee also provides children with an opportunity to develop skills that are useful beyond spelling. It encourages them to pay attention, expand their vocabulary, think carefully under pressure and become more confident in expressing what they know.

While there were winners to celebrate, we believe every learner who participated deserves recognition. Taking part, facing the challenge and giving their best effort are achievements worth celebrating.

The Spelling Bee was certainly one of the memorable highlights of our Summer School, and we are proud of every learner who participated. We also appreciate our tutors, parents and everyone who supported the children and helped make the event a success.
